How to create emission reduction plans: a guide for Country Facilitators and community members
Think about your country’s CO2 emissions sector by sector.
The table below is an example – note the big difference between countries. You can also look at the United Kingdom’s page for example.
You don’t need to know the exact contribution each sector plays, the actual numbers can come later. You probably already have a good idea of which sectors emit the most CO2. Concentrate on those sectors first and look for ways to reduce emissions sector by sector. Some examples may be preventing cars from a city or investing in solar and wind to shut down fossil fuel power plants.
Building networks and alliances with other environmental activists will stimulate ideas and share knowledge.

Your own government might have a plan on their website. It’s worth looking at and seeing what the Climate Action Tracker has to say about it.
We are still learning about how to find the best data and the best policies to reduce emissions. Here are some websites which you may find helpful about data:

You do not have to replicate the planning procedures of your government; you will be able to create a better plan. Join Cut the Carbon’s Discord server and your country’s channel to talk with your community about these.
Take confidence from focusing on saving our habitat while the government is likely to focus on saving vested business interests.
